Exhibition Opening: Mono / Mono : an Ode to Daidō
Mono/Mono: an Ode to Daidō, by David Marion. Capturing Japan with a 35mm camera, Marion channels Daidō Moriyama’s grainy, impulsive style. Printed by hand in black-and-white, these images evoke fleeting moments, unpolished and full of raw emotion.
2026 Barbara Spohr Memorial Award for Photography Artist Talk: Ryan Van Der Hout
Leighton Artist Studios presents an artist talk by Ryan Van Der Hout, recipient of the 2026 Barbara Spohr Memorial Award for Photography. They will share insights into an interdisciplinary practice spanning photography, stained glass, and sculpture.

Cryoscapes explores the tension between fragility and force within Alberta’s winter landscapes. Shot on the frozen surface of Abraham Lake, these photos transform cracked ice, pressure ridges, and trapped methane bubbles into abstract forms.
