DREAMSCAPE, NAHANNI MCKAY

Little Cabin Pop-Up
February 2 – February 23

The Dreamscape Collection is a series that challenges landscape photography. Banff is one of the biggest tourist destinations in Canada. People have this fascination with realism, that every photo is crisp, clean and high contrast. It is hard to take bad photos of the mountains. We are oversaturated with the amount of photos of the area including Moraine Lake. A Bad Photo of Moraine Lake (far left) is the first C-14 film photo I took and developed myself. It was taken on ISO 50 on a cloudy day. I developed it myself and accidentally opened the door during the development process, forgot to rinse the film and it is still my favourite photograph.
